if you or anyone else around you would benefit from some extra knowledge and skills, please look through this list. every course has been at the very least looked at by me if not completed

  • Alternative Basic Library Education aka ABLE by Idaho Commission for Libraries gives a very strong foundation for library workers without a library degree. you can get a certificate after completion of main blocks. you can also do supplemental courses, SABLE.

  • Where We Are At by Peer Connect BC is a peer support worker training, gives a certificate too

  • Take Home Naloxone by Toward The Heart BC is a short training on how to recognize opiod overdose, how to help, and how to administer naloxone aka narcan. gives a certificate that you can show to pharmacists and participating community centres to receive a free naloxone kit

  • Training on Human Trafficking by MCIS Language Solutions and province of Ontario is what it says on the tin. makes an admirable effort not to be nasty about sex workers within the subjects covered. has courses for professionals like doctors and a big everything included option too. gives a certificate.

  • Harm Reduction Fundamentals: A toolkit for service providers by CATIE and partners is what it says on the tin. is very good

  • Restoring the Circle by Native Women's Association of Canada gives tools on providing good care to 2SLGBTQIA+ Indigenous people who experienced gender-based violence. is excellent

  • Empowering Them by St. John’s Women’s Centre is about gender-based violence. is ok as a starting point. gives a certificate

  • multiple online courses by TransCare BC. "Intro to gender diversity - expanded" is what it says on the tin, the bigger and subjectively better version of "Intro to gender diversity". "Indigenous gender diversity: Creating culturally relevant and gender-affirming services" is what it says on the tin and is excellent. "Supporting gender creative children and their families" is very cute but short. all give certificates

  • Optimizing Care for Gay, Bisexual, and other Men who have Sex with Men aka gbMSM by University of British Columbia Continuing Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine is what it says on the tin and is excellent. gives a certificate

  • Gender-Affirming Primary Care by University of British Columbia Continuing Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine and TransCare BC is very dry but i can see how it can be helpful to a general health practitioner. gives a certificate

  • Providing Trans-Affirming Care for Sexual Assault Survivors by Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres is what it says on the tin, is short but informative and concrete

  • The transgender guide to sex and relationships: A course for transgender adults by Gender Minorities Aotearoa is what it says on the tin and is very good
